Planning Commission meets as needed due to an application filed with the City or at the request for an administrative review.
The Brownsville Municipal Code is paraphrased as follows: The Planning Commission shall meet at least once a month at such times and places as may be fixed by the Commission. Special meetings may be called at any time by the Chairperson or by three members by written notice and served upon each member of the Commission, and posted at City Hall, the City library and post office, at least 24 hours before the time for the proposed meeting. The Commission meetings are typically held on Monday. If the regular meeting date falls on a Monday holiday, the meeting is held the next evening, Tuesday.
Meetings are at 7:00 p.m. and are held in Fisher Hall, upstairs, at City Hall, 255 N. Main Street. The Planning Commission does not meet unless it has business to conduct, so please contact Administrative Assistant Elizabeth Coleman to confirm that a meeting is scheduled. Please call City Hall with any questions, 541.466.5880.
