John R. Putman
This event is the resumption of the Putman Family Reunion, a reunion which prior to Covid, had been held annually for about 150 years. Daniel Bennett Putman came to Oregon in 1847, a time before statehood, to settle originally in the Brownsville area as I understand. From there, the family spread out in Oregon and Idaho and later Washington. Before Covid, the Putman family had been gathering at Brownsville's Pioneer Park for over 10 years. In fact, one of our family had settled there, Ed Putman, who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. Family is important and roots are important. We hope to pass those ideas on within the family by keeping this family's reunion alive. Thank you for your consideration of our request.
